My name is Meryl Cittadino and I am the owner of the Art Studio. I grew up on Long Island and attended Queens College and the New School, majoring in fine arts. For many years I was in my families retail business, but my true passion was always in art. While running my business and raising my two children, I still found time to paint, working on many murals and faux finishing, as I still do today. My mother always encouraged me and said I should follow my dreams. So on a wing and a prayer and the support of my husband and family, The Art Studio opened its doors in 1999. Although it hasn’t always been easy, I can honestly say that the art studio is one of my greatest accomplishments. I would like to thank all who were a part of this dream and helped make it happen. I would also like to thank all of my students and parents for their encouragement and support over the years.
